Whenever we buy a new dress, we’re always certain that we can wear it again for a second time. But that might not be possible for Lady Gaga’s meat dress. The singer graced the MTV Video Music Awards wearing a complete meat ensemble starting from the top of her head all the way to her shoes. This has enraged PETA, the animal rights advocacy group. The group even issued a statement which said: 

“Meat is decomposing flesh of a tormented animal who didn’t want to die, and after hours under the TV lights, it would smell like the rotting flesh it is and likely be crawling in maggots – not too attractive, really”.

But this didn’t scare the artist at all. In fact, the designer of the dress – Franc Fernandez – revealed that the dress will be preserved in a manner that will turn the entire outfit into jerky. The dress will be placed in an archive along with the singer’s other outfits.

It seems like Lady Gaga has been keeping tabs on what’s happening with Justin Bieber’s career. There had been talks that the eccentric singer wants to be in CSI, too. Justin has been invited to guest in the crime drama. The episode with him is set to air on September 23 on CBS. After a lot of speculation and talk, the verdict is just in. The producers behind the show like the idea of bringing Lady Gaga on and believe that her presence will rake in more viewers. Producers have started talking to Lady Gaga’s representatives and are hammering out a deal for her to appear in CSI: Miami. Gaga has one thing in common with Taylor Swift and the Biebs, two singers who got to appear on the show.  She’s a big fan of the show and wants to play a negative role should she decide to appear in the TV series.

Lady Gaga is digging her heels this time. The Poker Face singer appeared in a rally against the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy in the military. Lady Gaga has always been an avid gay sympathizer and this time, she’s sharing her convictions with the rest of the world. During the MTV Video Music Awards where she was able to bring home a total of eight awards, she brought discharged gay military men as her dates in the said event. Lady Gaga called on Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both Republicans, to vote to repeal the said policy. While at the rally, Lady Gaga suggested a new method of providing order in the military – kick out all of the homophobic soldiers. Lady Gaga said in her speech that “there are amazing heroes here today whose stories are more powerful than any story I could tell, any fight I ever fought or any song I could sell. I’m here because they inspire me. I’m here because I believe in them.”

Katy Perry will be locking horns with Lady Gaga during this year’s MT V European Music Awards. The singer has been nominated for an impressive five awards. However, she has a very tough contender this year. Lady Gaga is up against her for Best Female Act, Best Video, Best Pop Act and Best Song. Although Katy has album sales on her side, her Teenage Dream is a chart topper, but Lady Gaga has momentum on her side, she just won a total of eight awards in the recently concluded MTV Video Music Awards. Lady Gaga is nominated for the Best Live Act category of the music awards. On the other hand, Katy is nominated for Best World Stage Performance. Katy is one of the artists performing in the said event and will be singing alongside Linkin Park. This year’s European Music Awards will be in Madrid on November 7. Last year’s EMAs was hosted by Katy Perry.    

Lady Gaga has pushed fashion to its limits. She pushed it too far that the world of fashion suddenly collided with the world of raw meat. If you’re wondering if Lady Gaga was really wearing raw meat during the MTV Video Music Awards last weekend, we are confirming you’re suspicions. The designer of the now infamous dress, Franc Fernadez, has explained that the dress really is made from meat and was in fact from his family butcher. The Argentinean designer said that it took him a total of two days just to get the meat sewn into the dress that Lady Gaga wore for music awards. New York butchers have weighed in on the subject and believe that about 25 pounds of meat was used for the entire dress. What’s wrong with the dress (aside from the pure and simple fact that we don’t use meat as a substitute to cloth) is that it probably stunk the entire time that the singer was wearing it.  

Lady Gaga is showing her political colors. The performer has always been a gay sympathizer. She even talked about how California lifting its ban on same-sex marriages has moved her to write volumes of songs for her upcoming album. But now, the singer is speaking up about the much politicized “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy in the military. Lady Gaga believes that the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy is discriminatory towards gays and has even been commended by Sen. Harry Reid after she posted a tweet on her page persuading her followers to vote for the overturning of the said policy. The senator posted a reply to Lady Gaga’s tweet saying that “anyone qualified to serve this country should be allowed to do so”. Lady Gaga went home with eight awards during the Video Music Awards and invited a number of former soldiers who were discharged from service following the DADT enforcement to comprise her entourage.

Lady Gaga is the biggest winner in last night’s MTV Video Music Awards although we can’t say the same for her dress. The eccentric performer was able to bring home a total of eight Moonmans mostly due to her chart topping hit Bad Romance. She was nominated for a total of 13 awards and led the ladies in the number of awards won. Eminem was the only artist to win multiple awards aside from Lady Gaga. After receiving her sixth award, Lady Gaga decided to tease her fans by divulging the name of her new album – “Born this Way”.  

Don’t expect Lady Gaga to get the approval of vegetarians anytime soon. The singer has outdone herself this time. She may have dressed herself in outrageous dresses that made you think long and hard how she managed to get inside the garments, but this time Lady Gaga went for something more than huge dangling globes. She appeared in the cover of the Japanese version of Vogue Homme dressed in nothing but meat. The performer did not offer any reason for why she decided to go with the look – whether she was just an enthusiastic meat eater or what. The singer even has a piece of meat on top of her head which was fashioned like a hat. Lady Gaga has also dressed like as a man for the same fashion magazine. The weird part of her posing as a man was that she asserted that her male alter ego had slept with her.

Lady Gaga proves that she isn’t just an awesome performer and singer but also a thoughtful friend. Fellow performer Beyonce just turned 29 and Lady Gaga wanted to get the singer something really special for her birthday. The two had collaborated in a number of tracks including for the hit Telephone. In the video for the said song, the two were dressed in eccentric and over the top outfits. Lady Gaga apparently drew a bit of inspiration from the video by getting a custom-made whip set with diamonds for the birthday celebrant. Beyonce also received a pair of underwear that matched the said whip. Gaga handed her gift to Beyonce backstage of Jay-Z’s Detroit concert. Gaga was seen singing Happy Birthday to Beyonce who supposedly shrieked at the sight of the performer and her present. Also according to sources, Beyonce will be receiving a yacht courtesy of her husband Jay-Z.

Lady Gaga is just like all of us, minus the outrageous outfits. The singer admits that she is insecure with her body just like anyone else. This insecurity has forced the performer to try a number of diets that have not worked out so well. Her ex-manager David Clemny shares that Lady Gaga would indulge in junk foods and then not eat for weeks at a time just so that she could slip into her costumes. Clemny explains that Lady Gaga’s diets led to her being hospitalized a number of times during the past year. The singer had to cancel a total of four shows earlier this year because of her physical condition. It was reported that Lady Gaga is at risk of developing Lupus, an autoimmune disease that runs in her family which has claimed the life of her aunt. Lady Gaga shares that she gets over her insecurities by hiding behind her image as a performer.
